Andrzej Blonski Architects were appointed by the Bristol Old Vic to review the potential  of the Bristol Theatre Royal Complex to provide additional performance space and reorganise front of house and backstage facilities in response to the changing needs of the Theatre. The jewel of the complex is the Grade 1 listed Georgian Auditorium, which is the oldest continuously working theatre in Europe. ABA were appointed to prepare a new architectural strategy responding to the Bristol Old Vic’s ambition to realise their potential to reshape the Theatre and Bristol’s cultural and creative vision. Works involve the refurbishment of the main auditorium, the studio theatre,the refurbishment and  addition of more dressing rooms and rehearsal spaces.
